Biography

Saint Anastasius The Fuller, also known as Anastasius of Salona, Anastasius of Lavandaio, and Anastasio, was born into a wealthy Aquileian noble family. Despite his privileged upbringing, Anastasius took to heart Saint Paul's advice to the Thessalonians that it is best to work with one's hands. Inspired by this teaching, he decided to pursue a humble trade as a fuller in Spalato, Dalmatia (modern Split, Croatia)....
