Biography
Saint Armin of Egypt is a holy figure venerated in both the Egyptian and Ethiopian Christian traditions. While his name is preserved in the liturgical calendars of these ancient churches, no detailed accounts of his life, ministry, or death have survived to the present day. His veneration in both Egypt and Ethiopia suggests he may have been active in the early centuries of Christianity in northeastern Africa, a region that produced many great saints and martyrs. Despite the loss of his biographical details, Saint Armin continues to be honored by the faithful who maintain devotion to the early witnesses of the Christian faith in Africa.
