Saint Berthaldus, also known as Bertaud or Berthold, was a hermit in the Ardennes region of France during the 6th century. He was ordained by the renowned Saint Remigius of Rheims, who recognized his piety and dedication to the faith. Berthaldus' influence extended beyond his hermitage, as the town of Chaumont grew up around his titular abbey and church in the archdiocese of Rheims, France....
