Saint Bonitus of Clermont, a man of profound service and humility, dedicated his life to the Church and the welfare of his people. Born in the Merovingian era, he distinguished himself through loyal service to the Frankish monarchy, first serving as Chancellor to King Sigebert III of Austrasia. His administrative acumen led to his appointment as Governor of Marseilles by King Thierry III in 667. In 689, he was elevated to the episcopacy of Clermont,
