Saint Cadfarch of Wales, also known as Cadfarch of Abererch, Cadfarch of Penegoes, and Cadfarch of Penyos, was a sixth-century spiritual student of Saint Iltyd, who played a significant role in the propagation of Christianity in Wales. While there is limited information available regarding his life, his contributions to the establishment of churches in Penegoes and Abererch make him an important figure in Welsh Christian history. Not much is known about Saint Cadfarch's early life or family background. However, it is widely believed that he was born in Wales during the sixth century, a period when the influence of Christianity was expanding throughout the region. His desire to pursue a spiritual path led him to become a student of Saint Iltyd, a highly respected and influential Welsh saint.
