Together with her sister Azaltrude, she became a nun at this prestigious abbey, which would become a significant part of her life and spiritual journey.

Saint Cecilia took on the role of abbess at the Remiremont Abbey and served in this position for many years. Her exceptional leadership skills and devotion to God allowed her to guide the nuns under her care with wisdom and compassion. As the abbess, she strove to maintain the abbey's reputation as a place of prayer, learning, and charitable works, inspiring those around her to lead lives of virtue and holiness.

Known for her humility, Saint Cecilia of Remiremont lived a life dedicated to prayer and selflessness. She encouraged the nuns in her community to embrace a life of poverty, chastity, and obedience, following the teachings of Christ. Through her example, she instilled in them the importance of serving others and practicing kindness and charity.
