Saint Chariton, also known as Chariton of Iconium, was a Christian martyr who met his tragic end during the persecutions of Diocletian. Unfortunately, not much is known about his life and background, as historical records are limited. Chariton earned his place in history as a devoted follower of Christ who refused to renounce his faith, even in the face of severe persecution. He lived during the tumultuous period of the early fourth century when Christianity was seen as a threat to the Roman Empire. Despite the lack of specific details about his life, it is widely believed that Chariton was born in Iconium, an ancient city in modern-day Turkey.
