Saint Deodatus of Nevers

In addition to his work at Ebersheimmunster, Saint Deodatus was appointed as the Bishop of Nevers in France around the year 655. As a bishop, he dedicated himself to the pastoral care of his flock, tirelessly shepherding the faithful entrusted to him. His leadership was marked by a strong commitment to upholding the teachings of the Church and nurturing the spiritual well-being of his people. Saint Deodatus actively participated in the wider Church community, attending the synod of Sens in 657.
