Biography
Saint Duthus of Ross, also known as Chief Confessor of Ireland and Scotland, was born around the year 1000 in Tain, Scotland. He is believed to have received his education in Ireland before returning to Scotland. Duthus dedicated his life to serving the Church and was eventually ordained as a bishop. He became the Bishop of Ross, a diocese located in the northern part of Scotland. As bishop, Duthus was responsible for the spiritual welfare of the faithful in the region, guiding them in matters of faith, and administering the sacraments. Known for his profound knowledge of theology and his holiness, Duthus was regarded as a wise and compassionate confessor. He offered guidance and moral support to those who sought his counsel, helping them grow closer to God and navigate life's challenges.
