Saint Dwynwen, also known as Donwen, Donwenna, Dunwen, or Dwyn, was a beautiful and pious daughter of King Brychan of Brecknock, a Welsh king from the 5th century. Known for her virtue, Dwynwen captured the hearts of many suitors with her charm and grace. One particular suitor, a young man named Maelon, fell deeply in love with Dwynwen and desired to marry her....
