Biography

Saint Enéour, sixth-century hermit of Brittany, remains a figure shrouded in the gentle mystery of early Christian tradition. His life, though devoid of surviving historical records, is inextricably linked to the sacred landscape of Bigouden in northern France. According to enduring local tradition, he journeyed alongside his brother, Saint Thumette, across the sea on a miraculous stone vessel, arriving from Wales to establish a life of solitude and prayer in the Breton countryside. As a hermit, Saint Enéour dedicated himself to contemplation
