Saint Francoveus, also known as Franchy, was a seventh-century monk who lived in the region of Saint Martin de la Bretonnière, which is modern-day Sainte Maire, Nièvre, in France. He was highly regarded for his strict adherence to the Benedictine Rule, a set of guidelines for monastic life.
