Biography

Saint Louis of Córdoba, also known as Ludovico, was a layman who lived during the 9th century in Cordoba, Spain. He is recognized as a martyr, having been murdered by Saracens for publicly proclaiming his faith in the face of persecution. Born in Cordoba, Saint Louis displayed a strong sense of devotion to his Catholic faith from an early age. His deep love for God led him to live a pious and virtuous life, possessing a strong moral compass and a fervent desire to spread the teachings of Christ. During the 9th century, the Iberian Peninsula was under Muslim rule, and Christians faced increasing persecution.
