Biography

Saint Lucina of Rome, also known as Lucina of Rome, was an Imperial Roman matron who lived during the reign of Emperor Nero. Her exact birthdate is unknown, but it is believed that she was born in Rome around the mid-to-late 1st century AD. Lucina was not from a noble family but was known for her wealth and status as a respected member of Roman society. Lucina's conversion to Christianity is attributed to the work of the Apostles in Rome. Captivated by their teachings, she embraced the faith and dedicated herself to supporting the early Christian community. Lucina's generosity knew no bounds, and she freely shared her fortune to aid the Apostles in their missionary work and to provide for the needs of the growing Christian community in Rome.
