Saint Madalberta

Inspired by her aunt, Madalberta embarked on a path of spiritual growth and learning. She joined the Benedictine order and became a nun at the abbey of Maubeuge, located in France. Within the abbey, her dedication and knowledge set her apart, and she quickly rose through the ranks to become the abbess in the year 697. As an abbess, Madalberta assumed the responsibility of overseeing the religious community and nurturing the spiritual development of her fellow nuns. Throughout her time as abbess, Madalberta was known for her compassionate leadership and unwavering commitment to the teachings of Christ.
