Saint Molonachus of Lismore was a spiritual student of Saint Brendan and later became the Bishop of Lismore in Argyll, Scotland, during the seventh century.

Biography

Saint Molonachus of Lismore was a spiritual student of Saint Brendan and later became the Bishop of Lismore in Argyll, Scotland, during the seventh century. Although not much is known about his early life, it is believed that Molonachus was born in Ireland and received his education and spiritual training under the guidance of Saint Brendan the Navigator. As a student of Saint Brendan, Molonachus learned about the monastic traditions and teachings that were prevalent during that time. Brendan's adventurous spirit and his voyages to spread the Gospel greatly influenced Molonachus, inspiring him to pursue a life dedicated to God and the Church. Upon completing his studies, Molonachus was ordained a priest and eventually appointed as the Bishop of Lismore in Argyll, Scotland.
