Saint Raphael the Archangel

Saint Raphael the Archangel is the healer and guide of the book of Tobit, where he accompanies the young Tobias on his journey, protects him on the road, arranges his marriage to Sarah, and restores the sight of his father Tobit. His name means God heals.

He is the patron of travelers, of the sick and of those who care for them, and of happy meetings. With the archangels Michael and Gabriel he is honored on 29 September.
