Saint Samthann of Clonbroney, also known as Samthan or Samthana, was an Irish nun and founder of Clonbroney Abbey in County Longford. Born in Ireland, she lived during the 8th century and is believed to have died in 739 of natural causes. Samthann's journey began when she fled from an arranged marriage in order to pursue a life devoted to God.
