Biography

Saint Sciath of Ardskeagh, sixth-century nun and daughter of Meacher, traced her noble lineage to the High-King Conor of Ireland. Revered for her dedication to monastic life, she established herself as a spiritual figure within the early Christian community centered at Feart Scéithe, known today as Ardskeagh near Buttevant in County Cork.
