Biography

Saint Simeon Senex is a figure mentioned in the biblical account of the presentation of Jesus in the temple, as recorded in the Gospel of Luke. According to Luke 2:25-35, Simeon was a devout and righteous man who was guided by the Holy Spirit. He had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Messiah, and it was revealed to him by the Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ....
