Biography

Saint Theodoric of Mont Dor, also known as Thierri or Thierry, was a renowned Priest and spiritual student of Saint Remigius of Rheims. He is primarily known for founding the abbey at Mont d’Or, located in France, and serving as its first abbot. Saint Theodoric was recognized for his exceptional evangelistic efforts, spreading the teachings of the Catholic Church far and wide. Little is known about Saint Theodoric's early life and upbringing. However, he dedicated himself to the study of spirituality under the tutelage of the esteemed Saint Remigius of Rheims. Under the guidance of his mentor, Saint Theodoric gained a deep understanding of the Catholic faith and became a knowledgeable preacher. Motivated by his profound love for God and his desire to establish a place of worship and sanctity, Saint Theodoric founded the abbey at Mont d’Or.
