Saint Victorinus of Como, also known as Victorinus of Capua or Victorinus I, was a prominent bishop and defender of the Catholic faith in the 7th century. Born in the city of Como, Italy, during the early 6th century, Victorinus dedicated his life to the service of God as an unwavering proponent of orthodox Christianity.
Little is known about Victorinus' early life, but historical records indicate that he rose to prominence as the bishop of Como. As a bishop, he tirelessly worked to promote and preserve the teachings of the Catholic Church in the face of various challenges, particularly the Arian heresy that plagued Christian communities during his time.
Arianism, a theological belief system founded by Arius in the 4th century, maintained that Jesus Christ was not of the same essence as God the Father but rather a created being. Saint Victorinus firmly opposed this heresy and ardently
