Saint Votus De Atarés, revered as a hermit of the Pyrenees, is remembered for his solitary life of prayer and penance in the rugged mountains of Navarre and Aragon. Though the precise date of his birth remains unknown, his spiritual journey is inextricably linked to that of his brother, Saint Felix, a prominent figure in the early Christianization of the region. Votus chose a life of seclusion, dwelling beneath a massive rock formation in the Pyrenees.
