Blessed Alexander of Kouchta, also known as Alexander of Kamenni, was a revered monk who devoted his life to a more disciplined and devout existence. Born in an unknown year, Alexander sought spiritual solace and contemplation in the remote region of Kamenni, Bulgaria. Dissatisfied with the distractions of conventional life, he eventually chose to become a hermit and withdrew to the pristine forest near Lake Koubensk in Russia.

In his secluded hermitage, Alexander immersed himself in prayer, reflection, and penance, yearning for a deeper connection with God. His commitment to a life of austerity and self-renunciation quickly earned him a reputation as a holy man and spiritual guide among the local villagers.
