Biography
Blessed Berthold of Scheide, also known as Berthold of Scheda, was a devout priest and a member of the Premonstratensian order. He was born in the 12th century near Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, in modern Germany. Berthold was the older brother of Blessed Menrich of Lübeck, with whom he would later found the Cistercian convent of Vrundeberg Abbey in Westphalia.
