Biography

Blessed José Joaquín Esnaola Urteaga was born on February 8, 1898, in Idiazábal, Guipúzcoa, Spain. He grew up in a devout Catholic family and demonstrated a strong inclination towards religious life from an early age. After completing his early education, he entered the Order of Saint Augustine and was ordained a priest.
