Blessed Maria Roqueta Serra, also known as Sister Maria Refugi of Saint Angelo, was a devout member of the Carmelite Missionaries who met a tragic fate during the Spanish Civil War. She was born on 20 April 1878 in Gabarra, Lleida, Spain.
Sister Maria dedicated her life to serving God and her fellow human beings. As a Carmelite Missionary, she was deeply committed to living a life of holiness and spreading the message of Christ's love to those in need.
