Biography

Blessed Roque Catalán Domingo, also known as Roque-Catalán Domingo, was a devoted Brother in the Vincentian Congregation of the Mission who ultimately met a martyr's death during the Spanish Civil War. Born on January 24, 1874, in the village of Aldehuela, Teruel, Spain, he lived a life of faith and service to others.

Roque Catalán Domingo dedicated himself to a life of religious devotion and joined the Vincentian Congregation of the Mission, also known as the Congregation of the Mission or the Vincentians. As a member of this religious order, he embraced the charism of St. Vincent de Paul, striving to serve the poor and marginalized with compassion and humility. He was recognized for his unwavering commitment to the Vincentian mission, living in accordance with the teachings of Christ and exemplifying the virtues of love, selflessness, and dedication.

During the turbulent years of the Spanish Civil War, Roque Catalán Domingo faced persecution and hostility due to his unwavering faith and his affiliation with the religious community. Despite the dangers and threats, he fearlessly continued his mission, sharing the love of Christ and offering support to those in need.

Tragically, on July 22, 1936, in Hortaleza, Madrid, Roque Catalán Domingo gave up his life for his faith.
