Blessed Rupert of Ottobeuren, also known as Rupert von Ottobeuren, was a Benedictine monk and the esteemed Abbot of the run-down abbey of Ottobeuren. Born in the latter 12th century, Rupert dedicated his life to the service of God and the restoration of spiritual vitality in his abbey.
