Biography
Blessed Sylvester of Assisi, also known simply as Sylvester, was born to the nobility during an era of great social and political upheaval. He is renowned as one of the first twelve followers of Saint Francis of Assisi and holds the distinction of being the first priest in the Franciscan Order.
