Biography
Saint Abraham of Clermont, also known as Saint Abraham the Desert Hermit, lived during the 5th century in Syria. Born in Syria, he embarked on a spiritual pilgrimage to Egypt in order to learn from the renowned desert monks of the time. However, his journey took an unexpected turn when he was kidnapped by thieves and held captive for a grueling five years.
