Saint Columbinus of Lure, also known as Colombino, was a renowned monk and a devoted spiritual student of Saint Deicola. Born around the year 620, he dedicated his life to God and the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment. Columbinus embarked on his monastic journey at an early age, joining the monastery of Lure in France. His steadfast commitment to the monastic life and his unwavering faith quickly caught the attention of his superiors, who recognized his potential for leadership. As a result, Columbinus eventually rose to the esteemed position of Abbot of Lure. As Abbot, Columbinus served as a guiding light for the monks under his care.
