Saint Engelram of Metz, also known as Engelramnus or Engelram, was an 8th–9th century bishop of Metz, a city located in present-day northeastern France. Unfortunately, very little is known about his life, and there are limited historical records available. Nevertheless, his contributions to the Church during his time as the bishop of Metz have left a lasting impact. Engelram was born in an undetermined year, and his exact date of birth remains unknown. He dedicated his life to the service of God and entered the clergy, eventually rising to the position of bishop in the city of Metz. It is believed that Engelram became bishop sometime in the 8th century, possibly during the reign of Charlemagne or his son Louis the Pious.
