Biography

Saint Novatus of Rome, also known as Novatus of Milan, was a well-respected figure in the early Christian community. He was born around the year 151 in Rome, during the reign of Emperor Antoninus Pius. Novatus was the son of Pudens, an imperial Roman senator, and the younger brother of Saint Praxedes and Saint Pudentiana, both of whom became highly revered saints in their own right. Growing up in a devout Christian family, Novatus embraced the teachings of Jesus Christ and dedicated his life to spreading the message of Christianity. He became an instrumental figure in the early development of the Church and played a significant role in its expansion. As a young man, Novatus was deeply influenced by the apostles Peter and Paul, both of whom imparted their wisdom and guidance to him.
