Blessed Alexius Worstius: Feast Day July 25

Biography

Blessed Alexius Worstius, also known as simply Blessed Alexius, was a renowned Premonstratensian friar who lived during the 17th century. Born in an unspecified date, he dedicated his life to serving God and his fellow brothers in the Premonstratensian order.

Blessed Alexius became a member of the Norbertine monastery in Hradisko, Olomouc, Moravia, where he eventually achieved the rank of Canon. His commitment to his religious duties and his unwavering dedication to the spiritual growth of his brethren led to his appointment as the Abbot of Hradisko in 1671. He continued to occupy this esteemed position for the remaining eight years of his life.

Throughout his tenure as Abbot, Blessed Alexius exemplified humility and piety. He treated his fellow Premonstratensian brothers as if they were his own sons, showing deep concern for their well-being and spiritual development.
