Blessed Arnold of Clairvaux, also known as Arnoldus, was a Cistercian lay brother and a spiritual student of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux. He was born in the 12th century in Belgium, although the exact year of his birth remains unknown. Arnold dedicated his life to a contemplative and ascetic lifestyle within the Cistercian Order.
