Biography

Blessed Eulalia De Pinos, born into nobility in Barcelona, Spain, embraced a life of profound humility and service in the early thirteenth century. Renouncing her privileged inheritance and the allure of worldly comfort, she dedicated herself entirely to God. In a decisive act of faith, she joined the Mercedarian Order, a religious community devoted to ransoming Christian captives from Muslim hands, in Barcelona. She received the Mercedarian habit from the revered Blessed Bernard of Corbara, a significant figure within the order, marking her formal entry into this vocation of mercy and sacrifice.
