Biography

Saint George of Périgueux, also known as Saint George of Périgueux, was a Third-century missionary priest in the Périgueux region of France. He lived during a time of intense persecution of Christians and dedicated his life to spreading the message of Christ despite the risks involved. Not much is known about the early life of Saint George of Périgueux, but historical records indicate that he was born in the Third-century. He felt a strong calling to serve God and became a priest, devoting himself to the Christian faith. As a missionary, he traveled throughout the Périgueux region, preaching the Gospel and converting many to Christianity. During this time, the Roman Empire was ruled by Emperor Decius, who launched a brutal persecution of Christians.
